The English Speaking Junior Youth Group, comprising of youth aged 13 and above. The group focuses on developing a relationship with Jesus and being true to his teachings in word and action, as well as to live our faith and identity as youth. The group meets regularly once a month (before MCO), and via Zoom (during MCO)

We are an arm of Covenanted for Christ Community (CFCC) and affiliated to the Sword of the Spirit (SOS). In 2009, we started as Kairos Malaysia, a youth group under the guidance of the community. After experiencing Kairos Arise 2015 (KA15), we were convicted by the Holy Spirit and inspired by the CYA movement. CYA Penang was then founded on 14th June 2015.
At the core of our ministry, we embody the call through CHARIS in being ecumenical where we are open to Non Catholics.
We envision youth who are transformed in Christ, and are agents of positive change for the Church and society.
We evangelize the youth and train leaders for the service of the Church and society.

The CHS Chinese Altar Servers is a part of the CHS Chinese Liturgy Group. Our main focus is to serve as a bridge for teenagers and children to learn more about God and aid them to serve God joyfully during Mass.

In the Tamil Apostolate, we reach out to the Tamil-speaking community of the Cathedral through various activities and programs focused on the Church. Through organising frequent prayer meetings and activities, we aim to spread the Word of God to our members, and increase the bonds of friendship within the Tamil-speaking community of CHS and also, between our community and the rest of CHS.

1.PONGGAL CELEBRATION IN JANUARY 2020.
We had a great Ponggal event in January 2020 .Three language group were involved in this activity. As a team, we gathered together to decorate the Cathedral for the celebration and also prepared some cultural games and the boiling of rice, and ended the day with a community dinner.
